  • Be a United States based business
  • Have an experienced management team
  • Be a proven business, exhibiting revenue growth from established market positions.
  • Have a funding requirement of $1-15 Million (although greater sums are regularly arranged through Federated led syndication).

Your Business Plan


Your business plan, to be submitted for consideration by Federated Private Equity, should contain the following elements:
  • An Executive Summary –This should concisely describe your business, its history and management, historical and projected financials and funding sought. This is extremely important part of the business plan, as it enables us to make a rapid initial assessment of the opportunity.
  • Company Background – This should detail your company’s history, including past fund raising efforts.
  • Product/Services Description – Include an explanation of its competitive advantages.
  • Market Description – Include the size of the target market (with third party sources identified) and an analysis of public and private competitors.
  • Sales Strategy – Identify the major customers and the sales channels being used to reach them...
  • Management – Provide brief biographies of each key person on your management team.
  • Ownership – List the major shareholders and cost of investment
  • Financial – Provide at last three years of historical financials (if available) and the past four years of projections with a brief description of the assumptions behind the projections.
  • Funding Requirements – State the amount of financing required, detailing the uses for these funds.
